Official Announcement: New CEO and Chairman of the Board at Thalasso AS and Thalasso Biotech AS

Thalasso AS is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2025, Ron van Helvoirt has been appointed as CEO and Chairman of the Board for both Thalasso AS and Thalasso BioTech AS.

With over 25 years of leadership experience, Ron brings extensive expertise in business strategy, sustainable growth, and complex stakeholder relationships. His vision and results-driven approach will guide Thalasso through its next phase of innovation and global expansion, with a strong focus on the sustainable biotech and maritime sectors.

Ron will work closely with Frode Stolen Sønstebø, co-founder and Business Development Manager, to further expand Thalasso AS’s global presence, including establishing subsidiaries in Mexico and the US. Together, they will drive sustainable and profitable growth, reinforcing Thalasso’s mission to create meaningful impact within the blue economy.

We also express our deep gratitude to Paulina Zanela for her outstanding contributions to Thalasso’s success. While she takes on a new challenge at SELT Marine Group, she will remain actively involved as a shareholder and board member. Paulina will continue to play a key role in strategic decision-making and stakeholder engagement, particularly for investors and the further development of our operations in Mexico. Her continued involvement reflects her confidence in Thalasso’s vision and future.
